About Me

Me

Hello!  My name is Ondrea Robbins.  I would rather be introducing myself over a cup of coffee or some chips and salsa but this will just have to do.  First of all, I am a simple southern girl who loves Jesus.  I have lived in the South my whole life and can never be too far away from a good glass of sweet tea.  I have had the privilege of doing life with my amazing husband who loves the Lord and serving Him.  We also have two beautiful children who make us proud everyday.  My husband and I have been serving together in ministry for at least 14 years, but who’s counting.  He is a youth minister and I am a school teacher.  We are a walking cliche and I love it!

Next, I’m in love with God’s word.  The truths of scripture are what I want to use define my life and find my identity.  I believe that God will reveal his mysteries to us if we only search for them.  When God lays something on my heart to study, I will find it hard to think about anything else.  I am a gigantic nerd and love to research until I am satisfied that I have answered the question of my heart.  Colossians 2:2-3  “that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Lastly, I love music because it expresses all the things that I don’t have the words to say.  I have been playing guitar for 16 years and singing for much longer.  Worship is a passion of mine and I believe that God has called me to share that passion with others.  I felt so strongly about sharing my passion for worship that at one time I was a vocal performance major.  Luckily, God showed me a better way.  He has allowed me to serve alongside with my husband in ministry by leading the youth praise band.  I also have the opportunity to play with the adult praise band at our church.  So, I am constantly learning new music and using it on Wednesday nights.

I want to share of little of each of those things here.  I hope that we can wrestle through scripture together, worship together, and laugh together.  Thank you for stopping by and hopefully one day we can even meet for some good coffee.
